What we collect when you contact us or register for a course, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Effective July 1, 2026 · Last updated July 29, 2026

1. Introduction

Rayaz Gunworks LLC (“Rayaz Gunworks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through rayazgunworks.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

This Policy covers the Site only. Information we collect in person as a Federal Firearms Licensee is addressed separately in Section 8.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Contact form submissions — name, email address, phone number, and whatever you include in your message.
  • Account registration — name, email address, password, and optional profile details.
  • Event and course registration — name, email address, phone number, emergency contact (where requested), experience level, and course preferences.
  • Newsletter signup — email address and any name you provide.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details (such as the last four digits of a card and the amount). We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on the Site.

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and dates and times of access.
  • Analytics data about how the Site is used, collected through our analytics provider.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and you should not submit it through contact forms.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer service;
  • Create and maintain your account;
  • Process and manage event, course, and class registrations, including confirmations, reminders, prerequisites, and changes;
  • Process payments and issue receipts and refunds;
  • Send newsletters, promotions, and updates where you have signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Understand aggregate usage patterns through analytics;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We send marketing email only to people who have opted in. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also email us to opt out. Transactional messages — registration confirmations, schedule changes, receipts, and account notices — are not marketing and will continue while your account or registration is active.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers who process it on our behalf, including website hosting, event registration and ticketing platforms, payment processors, email delivery and newsletter services, analytics providers, and customer relationship management tools. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, subpoena, court order, or lawful request from law enforcement or a regulatory agency, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent — in any other case where you direct or authorize us to share.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Site, and measure usage through analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though some features of the Site may not function properly if you do. Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

7. Analytics

We use a third-party analytics provider to understand how visitors use the Site. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors. Depending on the provider, you may be able to opt out through the provider’s own tools or through browser settings.

8. Firearms Records Are Handled Separately

As a Federal Firearms Licensee, Rayaz Gunworks collects and retains certain records in person that are required by federal and state law — including ATF Form 4473 transaction records, acquisition and disposition records, and identification information provided at the time of a transfer.

These records are not collected through this Site. They are maintained separately, retained for the periods required by law, and disclosed only as federal or state law requires or permits — including to the ATF and to law enforcement acting under lawful authority. The rights and choices described in Section 11 do not apply to records we are legally required to create and retain.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. In general:

  • Contact form submissions and inquiries: [X] years
  • Account information: for the life of the account, plus a reasonable period afterward
  • Event and course registration records: [X] years (training records may be retained longer for certification and liability purposes)
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
  • Payment and transaction records: as required by tax and accounting rules
  • Records required by federal firearms law: for the periods required by law

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; correction of inaccurate information; deletion of your information; a portable copy of your information; and to opt out of marketing communications or the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

These rights are subject to legal exceptions — most importantly, we cannot delete records we are required to create and retain under federal firearms law, tax law, or other legal obligations.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Third-Party Sites

The Site may link to third-party websites, including marketplace listings, registration platforms, and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as an email or a notice on the Site.
